◎《詩經》：「靡不有始，鮮克有終。」一般人做事情，很少能始終如一，從開始起而有恆毅地把事情完成。如何才能有始有終呢？蕅益大師曾說：「欲慎其終，全在謀始。」結果要好，開始就要有深細的準備。我們得到這個人身，豈不應該深細、謹慎地規劃？【日常師父法語】

As said in 《The Book of Songs》: “It is easier to start something, but it is hard to have good ending”. When ordinary people are trying to do something, very few of them can be consistent from beginning to end. That is, we don’t finish our work as hard as when we start it. How can we carry out our undertaking and be consistent? As Master Ou-yi said “If you want to be cautious about the consequences, you should start your action with well-round planning.” You want good results. Then you should start with very detailed preparation. We now obtain our precious life form as human. How can we not ponder upon and plan our lives carefully?  – Master Jih Chang
