◎ 第四親近勝利者。
近諸佛位，諸佛歡喜，終不缺離大善知識，不墮惡趣，惡業煩惱悉不能勝，終不違越菩薩所行，於菩薩行具正念故，功德資糧漸漸增長，悉能成辦眼前究竟一切利義。承事師故，意樂加行悉獲善業，作自他利資糧圓滿。
d. The benefits of relying on the teacher.
By relying on the teacher, you will come closer to buddhahood; you will please the conquerors; you will not be bereft of future teachers; you will not fall into miserable realms; neither bad karma nor afflictions will overpower you; through mindfulness of the bodhisattva deeds and by not contradicting them your collection of good qualities will continue to increase, and you will reach all of your provisional and final goals; after obtaining virtue through serving and respecting the teacher with thought and practice, you will accomplish others' welfare, as well as your own, and complete the collections of merit and sublime wisdom.
第四、親近（善知識的）殊勝利益
靠著親近善知識，接近佛陀的果位、十方三世一切佛都會歡喜、生生世世都會感得值遇而且不會離開大善知識、不會墮落到惡趣、不會被惡業或者煩惱戰勝、永遠不會違越菩薩的行持、對於菩薩行具備了正知正念的緣故，集積的功德和資糧，都會慢慢地持續增長、能達成眼前增上生與究竟決定勝的殊勝利益、因為在意樂與加行等方面承事上師的緣故，對於自己與他人的福德跟智慧資糧都圓滿

- 近諸佛位， By relying on the teacher, you will come closer to buddhahood; 接近佛果之位。離成佛之境地不遠矣
- 諸佛歡喜， you will please the conquerors; 十方三世一切佛都會歡喜
- 終不缺離大善知識， you will not be bereft of future teachers; 生生世世都會感得值遇而且不會離開大善知識
- 不墮惡趣， you will not fall into miserable realms; 不會墮落到惡趣
- 惡業煩惱悉不能勝， neither bad karma nor afflictions will overpower you; 無論是惡業或者是煩惱，都不可能占上風
- 終不違越菩薩所行， and by not contradicting them直到永遠都不會違越菩薩所應行持的一切作為
- 於菩薩行具正念故， through mindfulness of the bodhisattva deeds對於菩薩行具備了正知正念的緣故
- 功德資糧漸漸增長， your collection of good qualities will continue to increase所以集積的功德和資糧，都會慢慢地持續增長
- 悉能成辦眼前究竟一切利義。 and you will reach all of your provisional and final goals; 眼前的增上生也好，究竟的決定勝也好，這所有的殊勝利益，都能夠達成
- 承事師故，through serving and respecting the teacher因為承事上師的緣故
- 意樂加行悉獲善業，obtaining virtue… with thought and practice, 所以在意樂親近與加行親近方面，都會獲得善業
- 作自他利you will accomplish others' welfare, as well as your own, 可以成就自他二利
- 資糧圓滿。and complete the collections of merit and sublime wisdom. 福德資糧與智慧資糧都圓滿
