如是雖能具足教證，若較學者或劣或等、猶非圓足，故須一種德增上者。
Although teachers are endowed with these good qualities of scriptural learning and knowledge, it is not enough for them to have good qualities that are equal to or lower than those of their students; instead, they need qualities that surpass those of their students.

• 具足endowed with與生俱來；具備
• 教證 scriptural learning and knowledge經典上的學習與證成的知識
• 學者students 弟子
• good qualities德行
• 或劣或等equal to or lower than 或者跟他平等，或者低下
• 猶非圓足not enough
• 增上surpass超過，較為優越
• 這裡的those指的是good qualities，也就是「德」
