- 謂於refers to後面的受詞being接著兩個形容詞，一個是skilled in the process…跟adept at causing…換言之這兩樣東西是並行的，而不是前後成因果關係

- 引導次第the process of leading disciples引導弟子的過程與步驟（換言之，這裡講的次第不是讓弟子瞭解佛法中的「道次第」，而是老師自己很瞭解指導弟子的過程步驟）
- 巧便adept at很在行
- 送入所化心中causing [disciples] to understand所化disciples弟子，因為善知識指導弟子的過程，他瞭解弟子的根基，能夠用正確善巧的方法化解弟子心裡面的障礙，能應弟子的機，讓弟子充分瞭解，所以弟子稱為「所化機」。英文版沒有把understand的受詞寫出來，中文版則有寫「法義」
- 結論：善知識瞭解弟子的內心，對於引導弟子的步驟次第很熟練，也能用巧妙的方法把佛法的義理傳到弟子的心裡面
