如是末世出，諸不勤瑜伽，以讚戒活命，彼等無尸羅。」所餘三種亦如是說故。
Just so, in later times there will arise Monks who do not strive at yoga and make a living by praising ethical discipline. They will have no ethical discipline. The sūtra states the same for the remaining three qualities—concentration, wisdom, and liberation.
就像是末法時代出現許多不努力修持瑜伽只靠著讚歎戒（律）為生（的人），這些人並沒有戒律，其他三種（指定、慧和解脫）也像這個說法一樣
- 如是Just so這就好像
- 末世in later times（釋迦入滅後五百年為正法時，次一千年為像法時，後萬年為末法時。末世者，即末法時也。」）
- 出arise出現這樣的人，尤其是比丘
- 不勤瑜伽do not strive at yoga不努力學習瑜珈，這裡所謂的「瑜珈」，佛教中所說的瑜伽，指相應的意思，與一般人認爲的瑜伽是一種身、心、靈修練的觀念迥然不同
- 讚戒praising ethical discipline讚美戒的各種好處，引伸成一種「光說不練」的概念
- 以…活命make a living by
- 彼等They也就是這些只讚美戒相而不努力持戒的比丘
- 無尸羅have no ethical discipline不好好持守戒律
- 所餘三種the remaining three qualities—concentration, wisdom, and liberation 除了戒以外的其他三種美德，也就是定、慧、解脫
- 亦如是說states the same經典上也是這樣講的
