如除穢人心者。盡斷一切慢及過慢，較於尊重應自低劣。如善知識敦巴云：「我慢高坵，不出德水。」慬哦亦云：「應當觀視春初之時，為山峰頂諸高起處，青色遍生，抑於溝坑諸低下處，而先發起。」
The third, an attitude like a sweeper, means to eliminate completely all pride and feelings of superiority, and consider yourself to be lower than your guru. As Geshe Drom-dòn-ba said, "The water of good qualities does not collect on the heights of pride," and as Jen-nga-wa said, "In the planting time of spring, look at whether the green growth comes from the high mountain peaks or from the low valleys."
宛如除穢人之心：斷除所有我慢及過慢，認為自己比上師低下。如同善知識種敦巴尊者曾說：「我慢的山崗上是流淌不出功德之水的。」 慬哦瓦大師也曾說：「春初之時，看看是從高聳的山巔蔓延出遍地青綠，還是從低下的窪地開始冒起？」

- 盡斷一切慢及過慢 means to eliminate completely all pride and feelings of superiority澈底斷除所有的慢心與過慢心。慢，「慢者，謂同類相傲也。如於相似法中，執己相似。又於下劣中，執己為勝也。」對於跟自己程度相同的人比較，自然認為和對方相等；對於比自己程度差的人，自然認為自己比對方優秀。之所以視為過患，其細微處乃在於自己的心態。過慢，「過慢者，謂於同類相似法中，執己為勝；或復他人勝於己處，執為相似，言我與他同也。」與慢相比較之下，這段解釋則是明顯的過患，跟自己程度相同的人比較時，認為自己比對方好；而跟比自己優秀的人比，卻認為自己和對方一樣優秀。
