現在《佛陀現證三摩地經》中亦云：「彼於一切應捨自意，隨善知識意樂而轉。」此亦是說，於具德前乃可施行，任於誰前不能隨便授其鼻肉。
The Sūtra on the Concentration Which Perceives the Buddha of the Present Face to Face states: Students who rely properly on the teacher should always give up their self-assertiveness and instead actin accordance with the will of the teacher. This refers to a fully qualified teacher; it is said that you should not let just anyone lead you around by the nose.
《佛陀現證三摩地經》也提到：「他應該完全拋棄自己的想法，一如善知識的心意而行。」而這也是在合格師長的座前才能這樣做，祖師曾說：不能對任何人都輕易交付鼻繩。

- 任於誰前不能隨便授其鼻肉 you should not let just anyone lead you around by the nose在其他（不具足德相的）人面前，不能隨便任由他牽鼻子走
