雖於俱胝佛所，種諸善根，謂行布施，或行供養，或受學處，所起眾善，然彼僅以上半日善，即能映蔽，承事尊重，成就功德不可思議。
They produce more roots of virtue in one morning than those who give gifts to, worship, or observe precepts from limitless tens of millions of buddhas. Those who respect and serve their gurus are endowed with unimaginable good qualities.
雖然在俱胝數量的佛前，種了種種的善根，譬如布施、或供養、或受戒，所生起的種種善根，然而他只要承事善知識半天的時間，所獲得的功德就可以超過那些善根。承事上師可以成就的功德，的確不可思議

• 雖於俱胝佛所， limitless tens of millions of buddhas. 雖然在俱胝數量的佛前
• 種諸善根， produce roots of virtue種了種種的善根
• 謂行布施， give gifts to, 譬如布施
• 或行供養， worship, 或供養
• 或受學處， or observe precepts from或受戒
• 所起眾善， 所生起的種種善根
• 然彼僅以上半日善， in one morning然而他只要承事善知識半天的時間
• 即能映蔽， They produce more roots of virtue than those who所獲得的功德就可以超過那些善根
• 承事尊重， Those who respect and serve their gurus承事上師
• 成就功德不可思議。 are endowed with unimaginable good qualities. 可以成就的功德，的確不可思議

《地藏經》云：彼攝受者，應經無量俱胝劫中，流轉惡趣所有諸業，然於現法因疾疫等，或飢饉等，損惱身心而能消除，下至呵責，或唯夢中亦能清淨。
As the 《Sūtra of Ksitigarbha》 says: Those whom the teachers care for will purify the karma that would otherwise cause them to wander through the miserable realms for ten million limitless eons. They purify this karma with harm to their bodies and minds in this lifetime. This harm includes sickness such as an infectious disease with fever and calamities such as famine. They may purify their karma by merely undergoing something as little as a dream or a scolding.
《地藏經》：說善知識所攝受的修行者，原本應該經過無量俱胝劫的時間，在惡趣中流轉的所有惡業，然而在這一世當中，因為疾病，或飢餓等苦楚，使得身心受到損傷、或憂惱，就能獲得淨除。甚至到只有受到善知識的呵斥責罵，或者只是夢到上述情況，也能夠淨除。

• 《地藏經》云： As the 《Sūtra of Ksitigarbha》 says: 《地藏經》說
• 彼攝受者， Those whom the teachers care for善知識所攝受的修行者
• 應經無量俱胝劫中， for ten million limitless eons. 應該經過無量俱胝劫的時間

• 呵責， or a scolding善知識的呵斥責罵
• 或唯夢中 a dream或者只是夢到上述情況
• 亦能清淨。 They may purify their karma也能夠淨除

復次由其承事知識，應於惡趣所受諸業，於現法中身心之上，少起病惱，或於夢中而領受者，亦能引彼令盡無餘。又能映蔽供事無量諸佛善根，有如是等最大勝利。
Furthermore, by respecting and serving your teachers you exhaust karma whose effects you would otherwise experience in the miserable realms. Your action of serving the teacher expends these miserable effects and replaces them with only slight harm to your body and mind in this lifetime, either in actuality or in dreams. In addition, the benefits of respecting and serving your teachers are tremendous, such as a collection of virtue which surpasses even the roots of virtue that you derive from making offerings to limitless buddhas, and so forth.
還有因為承事善知識的緣故，本來應該墮入惡趣之果報，只要在這一世稍微承受些微病苦和憂惱，甚至是在夢中承受這些病惱，就可以淨除那些業障，而且承事善知識所成就的功德，遠超過供事無量諸佛的善根，有這麼大的殊勝利益

• 復次由其承事知識， Furthermore, by respecting and serving your teachers還有，因為他承事善知識的緣故
• 應於惡趣所受諸業， whose effects you would otherwise experience in the miserable realms. 本來）應該墮入惡趣承受往昔所造惡業之果報
• 於現法中 in this lifetime, 在今生當中
• 身心之上，少起病惱， slight harm to your body and mind身心方面稍微生起病苦和憂惱
• 或於夢中而領受者， either in actuality or in dreams. 或者是在夢中承受那些惡業
• 亦能引彼令盡無餘。 you exhaust karma就能夠把那些本來應該在惡趣承受的種種惡業，淨除無餘
• 又 In addition, 此外
• 能映蔽 surpasses又能夠遮蓋（超勝）過
• 供事無量諸佛 offerings to limitless buddhas 供事無量諸佛
• 善根， the roots of virtue
• 有如是等 and so forth
• 最大勝利。 tremendous, such as a collection of virtue which 有這種最殊勝的利益
