《八千頌》云：「若說法師於求法者現似毀咨，而不思念。然汝於師不應退捨，復應增上希求正法，敬重不厭，隨逐師行。」(p43) 如船心者，謂於尊重事任載幾許，若往若來，悉無厭患。
Also the 《Perfection of Wisdom in Eight Thousand Lines》 says: Even if the instructors of the teachings seem to despise and to ignore those who want their teachings, do not challenge them. Persist tirelessly and respectfully, and diligently seek the teachings. The sixth, an attitude like a ferry, means not to tire of deeds for your guru's sake no matter how many times you engage in your guru's activities.
《般若八千頌》也提到：「假如說法師對求法的人們輕蔑無視，你也不應違逆他，反而應該更加希求正法，敬重不厭，應該追隨師長而行。」如船之心：是指無論承載多少上師的事業，都往返無厭。

如乘心者，謂於尊重事，雖諸重擔極難行者，亦勇受持。如犬心者，謂尊重毀罵，於師無忿。如朵瓏巴對於善知識畫師，每來謁見便降呵責，畫師弟子[口娘]摩瓦云：「此阿闍黎於我師徒，特為瞋恚。」畫師告云：「汝尚聽為是呵責耶，我每受師如此賜教一次，如得黑茹迦一次加持。」
The fourth, an attitude like a foundation, means to take on even the heavy responsibilities of the most arduous activities of your guru with pleasure. The fifth, an attitude like a dog, means not to get angry even when your guru despises or berates you. For example, each time that Dölung-ba met with Geshe Lha-so, Dö-lung-ba would berate him. Lha-so's disciple Nyak-mo-wa said, "This master hates us, both teacher and students!" To which Geshe Lha-so replied, "Do you think that he is berating me? To me it seems like I am being blessed by Heruka each time he does this."
猶如車乘之心：是指對上師的事業中極端艱難沈重的責任，也都歡喜踴躍地承擔。如犬之心，即使遭到上師輕視、訓斥也不懷忿恨。如同善知識畫師每一次前去謁見朵壟巴，都會遭到訶責訓斥，畫師有位弟子說：「這位阿闍黎特別瞋恨我們師徒阿！」畫師告誡他說：「你還聽做是訶責嗎？每一次恩師這樣對我，都向是得到一次黑茹迦的加持。」

• 如乘心者an attitude like a foundation像車輛的心態。（四家合註的解釋也是「猶如車乘之心」，但英文版廣論寫foundation，原因不明，藏文字典裡面ཐེག་པ་意思是vehicle，ལྟ་བུ་意思是for instance; like; such as，སེམས་意思是mind，這三個字加起來就是「如同車輛一樣的心」）
• 謂於尊重事，雖諸重擔極難行者means to take on even the heavy responsibilities of the most arduous activities of your guru 也就是說，對於上師的事業擔，雖然種種重擔非常不容易執行
• 亦勇受持with pleasure 也歡喜踴躍地承擔（四家合註的解釋跟英文版一樣，「歡喜踴躍地承擔」，原文裡སྤྲོ་བཞིན་དུ་意思是happily, delighted，而འཛིན་པ་意思是bear，加起來就是歡喜信受）
• 如犬心者an attitude like a dog像狗（對主人）的心態一樣
• 謂尊重毀罵，於師無忿means not to get angry even when your guru despises or berates you也就是說，上師辱罵，對上師毫無忿恨的心
• 如朵瓏巴對於善知識畫師，每來謁見便降呵責For example, each time that Dölung-ba met with Geshe Lha-so, Dö-lung-ba would berate him. 譬如朵壠巴對待善知識畫師的方式一樣（原文裡面དགེ་བཤེས་ལྷ་བཟོ།，其中中དགེ་བཤེས།的意思是格西，也就是善知識，而ལྷ་བཟོ།意思是「塑神像者，神像塑匠」，字典上的意思是artisan即「工匠」，而英文廣論則寫成Lha-so，似乎又不是職業，而是人名的音譯），畫師每次前來謁見朵壟巴，朵壟巴就大聲呵斥他
• 畫師弟子[口娘]摩瓦云：Lha-so's disciple Nyak-mo-wa said畫師的弟子〔口娘〕摩瓦便對上師說
• 「此阿闍黎於我師徒，特為瞋恚。」This master hates us, both teacher and students! 這個阿闍黎對待我們師徒特別忿怒
• 畫師告云：To which Geshe Lha-so replied畫師告訴（弟子）說
• 「汝尚聽為是呵責耶Do you think that he is berating me? 你聽起來他是在呵斥（我們）啊
• 我每受師如此賜教一次，如得黑茹迦一次加持。」To me it seems like I am being blessed by Heruka each time he does this.  我每次受到上師這種形式的教誡，好像是獲得一次黑茹迦（勝樂金剛）的加持

如除穢人心者。盡斷一切慢及過慢，較於尊重應自低劣。如善知識敦巴云：「我慢高坵，不出德水。」慬哦亦云：「應當觀視春初之時，為山峰頂諸高起處，青色遍生，抑於溝坑諸低下處，而先發起。」
The third, an attitude like a sweeper, means to eliminate completely all pride and feelings of superiority, and consider yourself to be lower than your guru. As Geshe Drom-dòn-ba said, "The water of good qualities does not collect on the heights of pride," and as Jen-nga-wa said, "In the planting time of spring, look at whether the green growth comes from the high mountain peaks or from the low valleys."
宛如除穢人之心：斷除所有我慢及過慢，認為自己比上師低下。如同善知識種敦巴尊者曾說：「我慢的山崗上是流淌不出功德之水的。」 慬哦瓦大師也曾說：「春初之時，看看是從高聳的山巔蔓延出遍地青綠，還是從低下的窪地開始冒起？」

• 如除穢人心者 an attitude like a sweeper像清道夫的心態
• 盡斷一切慢及過慢 means to eliminate completely all pride and feelings of superiority澈底斷除所有的慢心與過慢心。慢，「慢者，謂同類相傲也。如於相似法中，執己相似。又於下劣中，執己為勝也。」對於跟自己程度相同的人比較，自然認為和對方相等；對於比自己程度差的人，自然認為自己比對方優秀。之所以視為過患，其細微處乃在於自己的心態。過慢，「過慢者，謂於同類相似法中，執己為勝；或復他人勝於己處，執為相似，言我與他同也。」與慢相比較之下，這段解釋則是明顯的過患，跟自己程度相同的人比較時，認為自己比對方好；而跟比自己優秀的人比，卻認為自己和對方一樣優秀。
• 較於尊重應自低劣 consider yourself to be lower than your guru和上師相比較，應該知道自己程度之低劣
• 如善知識敦巴云： As Geshe Drom-dòn-ba said就像善知識敦巴尊者所說的
• 「我慢高坵，不出德水。」 The water of good qualities does not collect on the heights of pride我慢像一座高高隆起的土堆，不可能湧出功德的水。坵，同丘，小土堆。
• 慬哦亦云： as Jen-nga-wa said慬哦瓦尊者也說
• 「應當觀視春初之時 In the planting time of spring應該注意觀察初春的時候
• 為山峰頂諸高起處，青色遍生，抑於溝坑諸低下處，而先發起。」 look at whether the green growth comes from the high mountain peaks or from the low valleys是山頂上到處長滿青草，還是山底下的溝坑邊先長出來
