《妙臂請問經》云：「如其僅有一輪車，具馬於道亦不行，如是若無修行伴，有情不能獲成就。
Reply: The 《Tantra Requested by Subahu》 states: Just as a chariot with one wheel will not go down the path even though it has a horse, so too, without assistants for meditation, people will not gain attainments.
《妙臂請問經》說：就好比說（他的）車子只有一個輪子，（即使是）有配備馬匹也不能上路。同樣的情形，如果修行沒有助伴，任何人都無法在修行上獲得成就。

• 《妙臂請問經》《Tantra Requested by Subahu》其中Tantra就是密法，妙臂，梵語सुबाहु (Subāhu)，音譯蘇婆呼（童子），為妙臂菩薩之略稱，亦即妙臂尊者。【《中國五百羅漢》】：「居胎藏界曼荼羅虛空藏院虛空藏菩薩之左第二位，密號悉地金剛。主虛空藏吉祥之德。所謂虛空藏，是指空慧之庫藏猶如虛空，也指色藏一切功德如虛空。」

由時運故，具全德者實屬難得。若未獲得如是師時，將如何耶。
Question: Because this is a degenerate time, it is difficult to find a teacher who has these good qualities in their entirety. Therefore, what should we do if we do not find such a teacher?
由於時代機緣所致，具足圓滿德相的人，實在是非常難遭遇。如果得不到這種條件的上師，要怎麼辦呢？

• 由時運故Because this is a degenerate time
• 具全德者a teacher who has these good qualities in their entirety
• 實屬難得it is difficult to find
• 將如何耶what should we do
• 若未獲得if we do not find
• 如是師such a teacher

諸欲為作學人依者，亦應知此，勵力具足如是德相。
Also, those who wish to have students should understand these characteristics and strive to possess them.
希望作為修行者依止對象的人，也應該要知道這些德相，積極努力修持，以具足這些德相。

• 為作學人依者to have students 收學生，成為人家依止的對象
• 應知此should understand these characteristics 也應該瞭解要成為人家的善知識得具備哪些特質
• 勵力具足如是德相strive to possess (these characteristics) 努力地具備這些德相
